As a System Administrator(m/f/d) at Dataciders in Nuremberg, you’ll be part of an interdisciplinary team that bridges technology and business. You’ll ensure that our IT infrastructures run stably, securely, and efficiently, laying the foundation for innovative data solutions. You can expect a diverse system landscape featuring modern technologies—from cloud to hybrid. What you can expect in your new job
- Ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' environments as part of our managed service offering
- Design, installation, and configuration of virtual machines and Kubernetes clusters
- Setup and maintenance of virtual networks and VPN endpoints, as well as firewall configuration
- Performing installation, configuration, and maintenance (updates, upgrades) of applications, with a focus on container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Monitoring of Systems and Applications
- Monitoring and documentation of regular backups
- Monitoring and Further Development of Monitoring Solutions
- Assisting our customers with technical inquiries, such as support with the creation, deployment, and execution of containers
- Rotating on-call duty
- In exceptional cases: Coverage of assignments outside regular office hours
- Collaborating with development teams to optimize deployments and operations
- Experience with Oracle databases is a plus
What we want from you
- Completed training as an IT specialist(m/f/d) in system integration or a bachelor’s degree in (business) computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field
- Solid knowledge of Linux systems
- Initial practical experience in DevOps, ideally with Kubernetes and container technologies
- Understanding of network technology, firewalls, and IT security
- The ability to work independently and in an organized manner, along with a high degree of reliability
- Enjoy working with customers and a willingness to take on responsibility
- Excellent knowledge of German
- Ideally, you should live near Nuremberg and be available to work in the office on a regular basis
