How companies can become more sustainable through GreenPLM methods and tools | Series: Spotlight

In this edition of "Dataciders Spotlight", we take a look at the topics of sustainability and product lifecycle management (PLM) with our expert Ole Scheller.

Ole, who works as a process consultant at Dataciders' Berlin office, heads up the Green PLM business cluster. His focus is on helping companies to become more sustainable by using innovative PLM methods and tools.

Current challenges: A significant challenge for companies is posed by EU regulations that require greater transparency with regard to CO2 emissions, water consumption and social aspects such as fair working conditions. In addition, there is the obligation to provide digital product passports that contain details on materials, production processes and recycling methods, which is also required by the EU.

Future PLM trends: Ole discusses important trends in PLM, in particular the use of artificial intelligence and the increasing need to react flexibly to constantly changing legal conditions.

Successful customer projects: An example from the automotive industry shows how Dataciders helped a customer to optimize the homologation process for vehicles. Targeted data management enabled various departments to be efficiently linked with each other, providing the information required for approvals faster and more accurately.
