A strong database for smart decisions: SAP & AI in focus | Series: Spotlight

In this episode of "Dataciders Spotlight", Alexander Seitz, Principal Consultant at PRODATO in Nuremberg (Dataciders Group), provides insights into his work in the field of SAP, data and analytics.

His work focuses on the holistic support of companies - from the development of a sustainable data strategy, technical architecture and system integration to planning and reporting as part of intelligent corporate management.

Many organizations are currently facing the challenge of effectively linking cloud solutions, growing data volumes and artificial intelligence. Alexander emphasizes: "Without sound data management and clear governance structures, trustworthy AI cannot be implemented.

He also discusses current developments such as data mesh, where the focus is increasingly on data availability and responsibility in decentralized teams—and why it is essential to combine process understanding and technical knowledge.

A practical example from a customer project illustrates his approach: Two existing data warehouse systems—a classic SQL DWH and an SAP BW—were transferred to a unified SAP BW/4HANA system. The result: a consolidated database that enables more precise analyses and better business decisions.
