The ForeSight conference took place in Berlin on March 15. Under the motto "ForeSight is the future of living", the project participants presented the results of the ForeSight research project to more than 100 visitors and discussed what the future holds for smart living. The ForeSight project has been funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection since 2019 to develop and test AI methods for economical operation in the residential environment. The successful conclusion of the funding period was also celebrated at the conference in Berlin.
With a focus on innovative solutions, participants at the conference presented their developments and discussed the direction in which smart living concepts are moving. ixto presented its AI application that predicts the periods with the maximum amount of green electricity. The application enables large electricity consumers to be switched on at specific times when a particularly large amount of green electricity is available. Its ability to determine the proportion of green electricity for any zip code area with a forecast period of 48 hours makes a significant contribution to the efficient and sustainable use of electricity. The prospect of knowing when green energy is available in abundance promises a significant reduction in the ecological footprint and an important step towards a greener energy future.
Reactions to the innovations presented were extremely positive, with the work in efficient energy use in particular seen as groundbreaking for upcoming developments in the field of smart living. Overall, the ForeSight conference was not only a platform for presentations and discussions, but also a catalytic event that highlighted the innovative power and potential of future-oriented technologies in the field of housing and energy supply. The use of AI and predictive analytics promises an exciting future where we use smart solutions to make our energy consumption sustainable.
